Honorable Shina Peller representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa constituency has indicated that he’s throwing in his hat in the ring for the Oyo North Senatorial district.
He made this revelation while answering questions during a masterclass by the APC National Youth Lobby Committee, during which he said there must be fairness in the representation of Oke Ogun in the senate.
Responding directly to Titilope Gbadamosi, one of the Co-hosts of the masterclass session, Peller said that the incumbent Senator of Oyo North senatorial district has had his time and it is time for other local governments to get at chance at the senate.
“Our senatorial district has 13 local governments, 3 local governments in Ogbomoso while 10 local governments are in my area but we have been marginalized. The Senator there is doing second term. If he wants to go the 3rd time, the 10 local governments in Oke ogun won’t allow it. They have beckoned on me to run for senate, and I’m ready.
Even in Ogbomoso, I have made my mark. I graduated from Lautech and I lived in Ogbomoso for 7 years. I contributed to the development of that community and I’m equally recognized there.
Peller concluded by saying that fairness in representation is important for the development and growth of any region in Nigeria
