- Gates broken by 5am, Security risk : Liberty Stadium in danger due to congress
The obafemi Awolowo stadium Ibadan is under security risk as Folarin led thugs destroyed the entrance gate and broke into the stadium at 5am saturday morning.
There is serious tension all over ibadan and Oyo State.
The tension over the postponed oyo state congress persists till now due to the suspect list and the insistence by the folarin faction to use the discredited list.
As at the late hours of.friday night the release of the ward and local.government lists continued to generate serious tension leaving the political gladiators at daggers drawn. There is confusion over whether the congress will hold or not.
Reports reveal that certain groups might storm the stadium to cause violence as late as last night and the police was informed.
Well meaning party leaders have called on the police and security agencies to be on alert to secure the peace and protect the stadium.
